I woke up to the sounds of roosters and the high pitch whistles of the Moto Taxis. A typical day in my area usually started with a big breakfast.. Salvadoran style ;) All of the locals usually start work in the early mornings, starting to set up their booths in the market. The market was a very prominent thing in our town that you could go to for literally ANYTHING you needed. You're hungry? ... Go to the market! You're out of toilet paper? ... go to the market! Want a new outfit... the market has it! First expectations was that it was very loud, crowded, and busy all of the time. Stray dogs are sleeping in the middle of the walkways, different smells bombard you from every which way, Taxis pass by within an inch of you, people are shouting at you to buy from their booths, and it's crazy hot outside. TRAVEL TIP! (good walking shoes are needed!)

Once everyone was done with work we all hopped in the truck and set off to go explore. We visited the coast, volcanos, tourist areas, malls, beaches, walked around the beautiful city of San Salvador, explored some great restaurants... and coffee too ;)

El Volcán de Izalco was something checked off my bucket list! El Salvador is home to more than a few volcanos, I suggest to at least make time to visit one when traveling. Again, comfortable walking shoes are a must! Dress comfortably as well, you'll be hiking some pretty steep trails to get to the gorgeous viewpoint. Fresh fruits and bottled water were available at stopping points too!

Suchitoto is a popular place for tourists, it is beyond gorgeous and has some good eats, cute shops and an amazing gift shop if looking to bring home some souvenirs ;)

Beach days were one of my most memorable times when traveling El Salvador. Simply spending a relaxing day with people that you love and enjoying the warm weather while riding some waves. TRAVEL TIP! (when going to the beach bring some sandals you don't mind getting dirty, and of course sunscreen!)

Casa De La Abuela- Suchitoto, El Salvador: My favorite coffeeshop I visited! Call me biased but El Salvador coffee tastes soo much better ;)
