I'm Engaged!

After finishing up a long day of work, I was ecstatic to be off. It was a good day so far, after all it was Valentines Day. I've been buying little gifts here and there over the past couple of weeks to give to him tonight and I was looking forward to do so all day. The night before I was packing it all up with his favorite chocolates to a nice hand written card and some other goodies stuffed in some flashy, pink tissue paper.

We headed home to get ready in time to make it to our dinner reservation downtown. I cleaned up a little bit and put the outfit on that I bought specially for this night. Mind you, at the time I did not know we would be in the middle of a polar vortex and it was one of the most coldest day that we have had so far. Brrrrrr!

With some time to spare before we had to be at the restaurant, he wanted to walk along the bridge that we walked on when we went to our very first prom together back in high school. By the time we made it to the bridge, my legs were already numb by the freezing cold.. (but I didn't want to ruin the moment) :)

I had my back turned to him and was looking at the view of the city lights before the sun would go down.. I turned around to see him on his knee and that is the exact moment when he popped the question.. and of course my answer was.. YES!
